Excitement

We assume that the vast majority of individuals inhabiting this planet know what the third rock from the sun is, that’s us, Earth. This big beautiful blue orb in the first rings of our solar system has given birth to our existence, and it’s something that we never take for granted. We are an initiative of individuals who take part in various methods of actions that are put into place to protect our planet. We understand that it’s easy to just view this as hippy speak for another group of individuals who are out to tell you to recycle and eat more hemp, but that’s not our directive. What we aim to do is to follow up with, and support innovations that help us as a society in a way that protects our home.

The evidence of our transgressions is all over our planet, the uses of CFC’s and the effects that pollution has had on our planet. And yet, we know that simply standing on a soapbox and yelling at you for what you’re doing is not the way to go about things. We need to have a place that we can sit, and talk, and share, in a way that opens eyes to new and alternative means without chastising those who don’t partake in them. We all know those types of people, the vegan who won’t stop telling you about how meat is murder, or the animal lover who yells at you for killing a mosquito. These people tend to be drowned out as they take their interests too far, whereas we believe that if you present the information to people that is out there, and allow them to make their own informed choices, that you have a much better ability to make a smarter choice when presented with the old ways and the new ones.

A good case in point to these is learning about recycling programs. Everyone seems to love the idea of recycling, but few understand the ramifications of doing so. The more items to pick up, the more vehicles, the more by products and so forth. The chain of breaking away from old forms and habits needs to start from the start. Better, more biodegradable packaging, means of transporting good that leave less of a carbon footprint, all without sacrificing the quality of the products that we have grown to love. All of these measures are being put into place by a number of companies around the world, and in our own backyard, and we feel that if the attention is brought to them, then people can choose to support it.

This is our initiative at Third Planet Inc. To bring you the information that we find, to share our information, and our collective knowledge about the ups and downs of these ideas, and to give you the information you may not find otherwise to make your own choices on the matter. What you do with that information is up to you.
